Seabourn Odyssey is the first in a new-class of ships for Seabourn that accommodates just 450 guests in 225 luxury suites. Although, at 32,000 GRT, Seabourn Odyssey is more than triple the size of Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend, she was the smallest new ship being built by any major cruise line, and her guest capacity is just twice that of the smaller sisters, creating the highest space-per-guest ratio in the industry. Seabourn Odyssey was built by the Italian company T. Mariotti S.p.A., located in Genoa, Italy and named in Venice in June of 2009. On that occasion, the guests on board for the maiden voyage were all honored as the ship’s godparents, and a plaque with their names was permanently mounted on a wall inside the ship.
Seabourn Odyssey was designed by the same architectural team, Petr Yran and Bjorn Storbraaten, who designed the original Seabourn ships. Seabourn Odyssey’s 229 ocean-view suites are divided into 13 categories, with interior measurements from 295 to over 1,200 square feet. Ninety percent have private verandas, which add from 65 to over 350 square feet of additional private living space. Highlights in accommodations are the exceptional Wintergarden Suites, which have a private glassed-in Solarium with a soaking tub and a lounging bed. This suite also features a veranda that is bowed out, giving wonderful views long the side of the ship. The Signature Suites, located all the way forward on Deck 7, have over 900 square feet of inside space and a spectacular wrap-around veranda of 353 square feet. In addition to more larger suites, Seabourn Odyssey’s additional size is utilized to create more open deck space, and a variety of public rooms and dining venues.

The Winter Garden Suites enjoy a vast amount of indoor space and a spacious veranda. These suites are both elegant and stylish and can sleep up to three people. There is a separate bedroom and a sofa bed for one person in the living area. The Restaurant is the main dining venue of the ship and is an elegant setting to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. All meals are served in an open-seating style allowing guests to eat when and where they wish.
This is an intimate restaurant where on alternate nights you can enjoy a gastronomic tasting menu or a regionally themed bistro-style dinner. Reservations are required at Restaurant 2 - no extra charge is made for dining at any of the ships restaurants.
The Colonnade is located on deck 8 and enjoys and extensive indoor and outdoor dining area where you can indulge in lavish buffet breakfasts and lunch and waiter service themed evening meals.
Located on deck 8 the patio grill and bar is a casual pool dining setting where grilled specialities and salads are served both at lunch and in the evening as well as freshly baked pizzas throughout the afternoon. The bar area is a great place to enjoy a cool refreshing drink or ice cream.
Located above the navigation bridge on deck 10 this bar is a great place to soak up the panoramic views. If you are an early riser and love to watch the sunrise then this is the place to be where you can also enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee as you slowly start the day.
The Sky Bar is situated on a terrace overlooking the pool deck below and is a popular place to meet for drinks.
By day you can enjoy relaxing daily afternoon teas and by night, this is much more of a lively bar and lounge and a popular place for dancing to live music before and after dinner. There is also a DJ on hand each night playing music late into the night.
The Grand Salon can accommodate all guests on board and by day is the focal point for lectures, cooking demonstrations and movies. By night, the lights come down and the entertainment begins with live bands for those who enjoy a pre-dinner dance as well as after dinner entertainment such as comedy, classical recitals, and cabaret shows.
For guests 18 years or older the small Casino allows you to try your hand at a variety of classic Casino games and slot machines.
Telephone calls can be made direct from each suite. Seabourn Square is where you will find internet and computer facilities including Microsoft Office Software, web browsers and a printer.

The ship's licensed and registered doctor and nurse are on 24-hour call for professional and emergency services, which are available at customary charges. The medical centre is designed to provide medical care for temporary illnesses and accidents only.
The Spa at Seabourn is an award-winning spa offering a wide range of treatments and rituals by highly skilled staff. There is a fully equipped gym, a motion studio featuring a Kinesis Wall and Thai massage area as well as a beauty salon as well as saunas, steam rooms, and a wide range of treatment and pampering sessions. There is also a thermal area and a large hydro-pool.
Situated on deck 10 this is the upper level of The Spa containing a private Spa villa and an outdoor relaxation cabana and small whirlpool for all Spa guests.
This is an expansive sun deck surrounding the central swimming pool and two large whirlpool spas. Surrounding the pool there are sun loungers and cabanas with a good choice of sun and shade. Live music and dancing can be enjoyed on occasions at the stage area situated on the pool patio.
With 36 double sun beds set up on deck 11 this is a great place to relax and enjoy some sunshine.
The ship has a fold-out water sports Marina that can be deployed when the ship is at anchor in certain locations. Once deployed, the Marina provides a platform where guests can enjoy board sailing, water-skiing, banana boat rides, pedal boats and kayaks. The Marina also has a stainless steel mesh enclosure that permits protected swimming in the sea.
This is a multi-use plaza with a 9 hole golf putting green and two shuffleboard courts.
For those who enjoy a game of bridge or a board game or the more contemporary Wii games on the large screen then this is the place to head for some light entertainment.
Replacing the conventional lobby and reception area is Seabourn's innovative "living room" with its welcoming lounge, comfy armchairs and cocktail tables where you can enjoy a speciality coffee and pastry. 24-hour assistance is available 7 days a week and for guests wishing to make shore-side arrangements, the Concierge is available to assist with knowledgeable suggestions and will help with any offshore arrangements. The Library is also located in Seabourn Square and is perfect for those who like to curl up with a good book, the on board library offers an extensive selection of hard cover books, magazines, reference materials and newspapers. The eight computer workstations are a popular place to catch up with those back up or carry out some research on your approaching destination.
Situated mid ship is where you will find the duty-free shop selling fine jewellery, perfumes and fashion items to name but a few.
For those who like to keep fit there is a fully equipped gym with cardio and resistance equipment. There are also complimentary yoga and pilates classes as well as a private trainer.
