When you take a around the inner-city moat it will take you past the array of glittering temples, aromatic food markets and eclectic shops of Chiang Mai’s downtown, while just five minutes away is the popular Night Bazaar. A visit to the Wat Doi Sutthep will give you panoramic 360 degrees view over Chiang Mai city.
From Chiang Mai visit the Elephant Nature Park, an elephant rescue and rehabilitation camp here you can learn about, feed and bathe these magnificent animals. Travel to the hills and cycle or hike and get an insight into local hill tribes and local living. Or take one of the Ziplines across the rainforest canopy where you can see gibbons swinging through the trees.
Discover The Golden Triangle
Lush
jungles, mountains, steeped in history and culture is Thailand’s most northern
city, Chiang Rai and the area known as the Golden Triangle. In the little town
of Sop Ruak at the confluence of the Mekong and Ruak Rivers the borders of
Thailand, Laos and Myanmar come together, watched over by the Golden Buddha.
Visit the
fascinating Opium Museum and discover the area’s infamous past and how it
became known as the Golden Triangle. Sail on a long tail boat along the Mekong
River where you can see the neighboring cities of Laos and Myanmar. Take a trip
to Chiang Rai and see the beautiful Temple of Wat Rong Khun, better known as the
white temple.

October and April is considered to be the ideal time to visit, during this period it is cooler, dryer with a light breeze, this is also peak tourist season.
April to June is the hot season when temeratures can reach 40 degrees celsius
July to October is the wet season, when heavy downfalls of rain can occur and humidity is high.
