          Gros Morne National Park

Use the drop-down menu below to explore Gros Morne National Park.

Set on the western coast of the Canadian island of Newfoundland, Gros Morne National Park is the second-largest national park in Atlantic Canada.

This impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its magnificent fjords and dramatic mountains towering above a diverse landscape of forests, valleys, bogs and beaches. Shaped by colliding continents and grinding glaciers, the park provides a rare example of the result of continental drift, where the rocks of the earth's mantle and deep ocean crust lie exposed.

Must-see sights within the park include the Gros Morne, a majestic peak with a hiking trail overlooking the exquisite Ten Mile Pond Gorge; and the Brook Pond, a fjord lined with a number of cliffs and waterfalls, including the exquisite and rather humorously named Pissing Mare Falls.
