Also known as the Land of the Gods, Bali will astound visitors with its sheer natural beauty of looming volcanoes and lush terraced rice fields that exude peace and serenity. Bali enchants with its dramatic dances, colourful ceremonies, intricately carved temples, arts and crafts, luxurious beach resorts and exciting nightlife.

Bali’s beautiful beaches have long been a draw for families and couples alike, whether looking for a place to relax or to take advantage of the vast array of watersports available including banana boats, parasailing and jet-ski’s. Most well known among Bali’s beaches is Kuta, dotted along the beachfront is an excellent selection of restaurants, shops and cafes and as the sun sets this becomes one of the islands most lively areas.  For a quieter area opt to enjoy the beach at Jimbaran, a popular spot to eat fresh barbecued seafood in the evenings, whilst Sanur Beach offers an authentic selection of restaurants. Nusa Dua is popular for those seeking a more relaxed pace, private beaches and some of the best hotel resorts in Bali.

For those visitors seeking more adrenaline fuelled activities, head to Ubud in the centre of the island to enjoy white water rafting down the spectacular Ayung River, bungy-jumping from a cliff down to almost touch the river or cycling around the abundant rice paddy fields and local villages.

Bali is renowned for its culture and artistic traditions which include dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking and music. Visitors can immerse themselves in the local culture by visiting one of the many temples on the island, some of the most popular are Uluwatu Temple, the early 18th-century Puru Ulun Siwi Temple and Pura Tanah Lot where the Kecak dance is staged dramatically in the open air with a backdrop of the sun lowering in the sea over the horizon beyond.

With sunshine shining throughout the year, Bali has a tropical monsoon climate, with pleasant day temperatures between 25 to 33 degrees Celsius (68 to 93 degrees Fahrenheit). Rainy season starts from October to March, when the West monsoon brings heavy showers and high humidity. June to September is considered the driest season and lower humidity.
