In the strand of islands known as the Grenadines lies Palm Island, a private paradise of just 135 acres, where tranquillity is a state of mind and guests have the opportunity to do as little or as much as they please.
The sister hotel to Antigua’s Galley Bay, Palm Island offers a stylish and romantic hideaway that is ideal for couples who appreciate great food and service and a truly magical setting. The resort offers a scattering of guest rooms, each decorated in simple Caribbean style only a stones throw from the azure waters.
Choose from the spacious and private Palm View rooms, located in the gardens a few yards from the beach or Beachfront rooms that allow you to step from your private patio to the shore. The most unique rooms on the island are the Island Loft rooms that sit on 5 foot stilts. Offering the ultimate in hideaway privacy, these rooms offer king size beds, large soaking tubs and a large veranda, a few are on the beach with sweeping views of the Tobago Cays and other nearby islands.
There is a choice of two restaurants, Sunset Beach Bar for lunchtime grills, and the Royal Palm for intimate gourmet dining. A wide range of water sports are on offer, including windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling, fishing and kayaking. Don’t miss out on a sail on the island’s own catamaran, ’Pink Lady’, or a trip to the Tobago Cays aboard ’Scaramouche’ a 60ft schooner that featured in Disney’s ’Pirates of the Caribbean’ film.
