Explore the enchanting southern coast of South Africa on this tailor-made 11-day tour, beginning in vibrant Cape Town, with a wealth of unmissable sightseeing and activities, including visiting infamous Robben Island and the spectacular V&A Waterfront. On day four, you will embark on a scenic drive east towards the Winelands and stay in the fabulous Delaire Graff Estate, surrounded by vineyards and mountain views. After two nights you will embark eastwards again towards Swellendam, which offers an abundance of outdoor activities and stunning views, then end your tour with a drive along the famous Garden Route to Plettenberg, staying for your final three nights in Tsala Treetop Lodge, nestled amongst the forest canopy, for a truly unique and memorable end to your trip.

  • Day 1-4  Check-in Cape Grace for a 4 night stay

    Enjoy 4 nights exploring the city of Cape Town, affectionately known as the Mother City. ‘Must see’ visits include Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was famously incarcerated, Penguin Island, Table Mountain and even a visit to an urban Township to experience ‘real’ South African life. In the evening there are plenty of bars and restaurants in either the V&A Waterfront or on many of Cape Town’s historic streets.

  • Day 5-6  Check-in Delaire Graff Estate for a 2 night stay

    Welcome to the Winelands with a scenic drive from Cape Town to the historic university town of Stellenbosch, an area famed for its wine, music, art and sport. From here you can visit some of the region’s 200 wineries and experience the culinary delights this pretty town and the neighbouring areas have to offer.


  • Day 7  Check-in Schoone Oordt Country House for a 1 night stay

    The Swellendam area offers guests an abundance of activities. Hiking, horse trails, bike trails, watersports as well as visits to the nearby Nature Reserves are a must. A trip to the De Hoop Nature Reserve for seasonal whale watching cannot be missed, a short journey over the Tradouw’s Pass to quadbike in Barrydale as well as a day trip wine-tasting in the Robertson Wine Valley. Along with a nine-hole golf course, quaint coffee shops, the renowned Drostdy museum, berry & lavender-picking, good restaurants and a feast of art, Swellendam spoils its visitors for choice.


  • Day 8-11  Check-in Tsala Treetop Lodge for a 3 night stay

    Start along the Garden Route, 300km of stunning natural beauty with its Indian coastline, dense indigenous forests, dramatic ravines, lagoons and Outeniqua Mountains. Stay 3 nights in Plettenberg and enjoy15km of beaches as well as the areas many bars and restaurants. Local activities include The Elephant Sanctuary and Monkey Land.

    Drop the car off at Port Elizabeth before connecting with your flight to Cape Town and then onwards to the UK.
