The Seychelles sit just 4 degrees south of the equator and a thousand miles off the East coast of Africa and Madagascar. They are an archipelago of 115 islands scattered across over 500,000 square miles of the Indian Ocean and home to some of the finest beaches in the world. Verdant islands of natural beauty and dense vegetation offer peaceful havens surrounded by warm turquoise waters making this an excellent destination for a honeymoon or romantic getaway.

The islands enjoy a warm all year round climate and the stunning white powdery beaches and warm ocean waters provide the idyllic setting for lazy days on the beach whilst the colourful underwater sea-life teaming with tropical fish and coral reefs provide excellent diving and snorkelling conditions.

Creole cuisine boasts the subtleties of French cooking, the exoticism of Indian dishes, and the piquant flavours of the Orient. Grilled fish, innovative curries, and authentic seafood dishes are just some of the unique flavours the Seychelles have to offer.

At some of the finest hotels in the world, stunning private villas with pools and round the clock butler service provide the ultimate in luxury holiday accommodation allowing you to slip into a complete holiday mood as soon as your feet touch the sand.

The tropical climate of the Seychelles and temperatures are between 25°C and 30°C throughout the year, making this an ideal destination for sun worshippers and beach lovers. The rainy season starts in October and ends in March, with January being the wettest month - during this period, higher temperatures set in. The dry and slightly cooler season extends from April to September bringing winds from the south-east. The transitional months between each season - April to late June and mid-September to mid-November offers dry, sunny weather with little wind.

The Seychelles is one of the best recognised wedding and honeymoon destinations with stunning, romantic backdrops and spectacular scenery in which to get married. Some of the properties in the Seychelles offer the ultimate in privacy and exclusivity with "no-fly" zones over private islands, however even if you’re not an A-list celebrity or member of the Royal family, there is a very special feeling to spending your honeymoon on one of these delightful islands.

The island of Mahe is the largest of the Seychelles and home to Victoria, the capital. The International Airport (SEZ) provides connecting inter-island flights to all of the other “outer” resort islands with international flights from the UK coming from various regional airports via the Middle East. The 2 main airlines from the UK are Etihad and Emirates, flying via Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively. The “inner” islands are accessed by a boat transfer.
